Awakening Change

“Autumn shows us just how beautiful it is to let dead things go”- Unknown

Autumn (or Fall) is one of my favorite seasons. The air is easier to breathe, the days are a bit shorter, and Mother Nature gives us the beautiful masterpiece of changing leaves. I love taking long drives along tree-lined roads and witnessing the beautiful colors and hearing that distinct sound of the breeze rustling through the trees. *dreamy sigh*

It’s a sight that is as beautiful as it is symbolic. Those leaves are actually dying. They are losing the pigment because the decrease in daylight and drop in temperature causes them to stop producing the food they need to sustain their lush green color. But, in their passing, they give us a beautiful farewell performance.

The trees teach us that not all goodbyes need to be painful. When we choose to release old ways of thinking and behaving that no longer serve us, the transition can be a beautiful one.

This month, I want to challenge you to take a lesson from the trees.

Go spend some time out in nature and watch the way the leaves effortlessly float away from branches that no longer nourish them.

Notice the sound of the wind rustling through the branches.

Breathe and release those ideas that are no longer productive.

I promise you’ll feel so much better!

Stay safe & be well!
